My Madness
My madness I keep locked

Lest it should stray

Words are only bundles of meaningless letters

There is nothing that you and I need say

Together we will swim in a crocodile infested river

Together on the edge of a crumbling tower

The wind will blow us away

And hand in hand

Together we will float along a nameless bridge

As I jump into the gushing torrent of water

You will stand on the shore smiling away

With a scream of joy as I shatter into a million drops

With one sweep of your hand

I will emerge by your side

As new as a newborn child

The day spent

In the pitch darkness

All alone

I search for you in the depths of another woman’s eyes

My madness is a caged beast

It rears its head in silly poems like this
